Ahead of Test Pumping To CENTRAL MONROVIA AND ITS ENVIRONS, LWSC dispatches AWARENESS TEAM INTO VARIOUS COMMUNITIES….

All is set for test pumping to Central Monrovia and its adjacent communities, after nearly nine (9) years of water outage in Central Monrovia and its surrounding communities.
With support from the World Bank, the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation is poised to commence the flow of water through the pipelines and faucets in all communities in Central Monrovia.
However, the LWSC is currently providing significant Public Awareness within the concerned communities.
On Monday, March 29, 2023 the Corporation dispatched several Marketing Representatives into Central Monrovia to inform residents of this welcoming development from the LWSC.
Marketing Representatives are also informing residents of Central Monrovia and its adjacent communities not to drink the water that will be coming through their faucets just yet due to what they termed as ” cleaning of the Corporation’s pipeline infrastructure” in Central Monrovia and its surrounding communities.
LWSC notes that , “water has not been flowing through these lines for nearly nine (9) years.
The Corporation therefore advises its valued customers in Central Monrovia and its surrounding communities not to drink the water when the test pumping begins”.
According to the LWSC, the water can be used only for domestic activities at the moment.
These activities include flushing and cleaning but not washing, drinking, bathing and cooking.
LWSC notes that it will inform its valued customers and the general public especially residents of Central Monrovia on when they can begin to drink the water .
The LWSC will also provide information to residents and businesses in Central Monrovia on how they can get connected to the Corporation’s network for commercial purposes.
Following the construction of an express pipeline from the LWSC Fish Market booster station through Sinkor into its Newport street booster station,the Corporation has since been able to feed its City resevior located at Ducor.
The Corporation’s city reservoir will supply water to all parts of Central Monrovia and its adjacent communities when the test pumping begins shortly.
