Brief Profile of Hon. T. Wilson Gaye

Hon. T. Wilson Gaye is Deputy Managing Director for Administration at the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC). He is a precise and detailed oriented professional with diverse skills and expertise in organization leadership and development, focusing on investment portfolio management, public sector administration, and program design and management with over fifteen (15 years of post-qualification experience.

Prior to joining LWSC in March 2024, Hon. T. Wilson Gaye served in a variety of administrative and policy positions with the United Nations System in Liberia as well as both in the private and public sectors, including as National Program and Policy Officer at the Liberia Country Office of the International Organization for Migration (a United Nations Agency for Migration), Program Consultant at Platform for Dialogue and Peace (a national peacebuilding and research entity), Head of Investment at National Social Security and Welfare Corporation, and a Lecturer in Finance at William V. S. Tubman University in Harper, Maryland County. He also served at the Ministry of Education during former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s Administration as Assistant Minister for Administration, Assistant Minister for Fiscal Affairs and Human Resources Development, and Assistant Minister for Student Personnel Services.

As part of effort to improve livelihoods of farmers as well as improve the quality, productivity and efficiency of rural enterprises in Liberia, Deputy Managing Director Gaye has also worked with USAID/Liberia Agribusiness Development Activity (USAID/LADA) as Investment Promotion Specialist, networking with government agencies, community actors and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector in expanding the investment space in the sector. This role led to the creation of Liberia Agro-inputs Dealers Association which seeks to promote, monitor, and sustain agroinputs business in the country.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ghana in 1994 and a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from the Cuttington University in 2008. He also holds several professional qualifications in investment, public sector management and education management from many training institutions including the Crown Agents Training Institute in Worthing, UK; World Bank Training Institute in Washington, D.C. in the United States; Ghana Stock Exchange Training School in Accra, Ghana; Liberia Institute for Public Administration in Monrovia; and Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) in Abuja, Nigeria.
