The Managing Director of The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation Hon. Mohammed Ali has held his first general staff meeting since taking over the public utility.
On Monday, March 25, 2024, during this all-important meeting with the workforce of the Corporation, MD Ali, touched on several important issues including his management’s commitment to instituting cogent measures aimed at achieving a holistic transformation at the Public Corporation, improvement in the service delivery and the payment of salaries.
Ali noted that his management will stop at nothing but ensuring that all facets, including the infrastructure and human capacities of the Corporation experience major changes.
He called on employees of the Corporation to surmount the difficult times as the days ahead are greener, with several opportunities that can only be achieved collectively.
“I know things are currently not perfect at the Corporation but we all must desire to change the present conditions here”; MD Ali told an enthusiastic workforce.
According to MD Ali, his management’s commitment to regularize salaries and restore other benefits is only attainable through the joint efforts of all parties at the LWSC, Including the top management, employees, and contractors.
“We all want to work and take pay but if we don’t work hard and honestly, we won’t be able to take pay”; Ali said.
He then pledged his team’s commitment to stay clear of interference with revenue collection; nothing that absolutely no one in his top management will stand in the way of collecting the much-needed service bills.
“I can assure you that none of us from the top management will interfere in the collection of our bills because we need these bills to achieve our development plan”; MD Ali noted.
Hon. Mohammed Ali, who has only made a month at the Corporation, is said to have earned the admiration of the Workforce based on his developmental agenda for the LWSC.
