Acting Deputy Managing Director/Administration-Christie J. Sherman

Mr. Sherman graduated from the College of West Africa and enrolled at Cuttington University College studying economics. He had to leave during his senior semester due to the civil uprising in Liberia.

Mr. Sherman is graduate of North Carolina Central University (NCCU) with a BSc degree in Finance, in Durham, North Carolina.

After graduating from NCCU, he was offered a job in Richmond, Virginia. In Richmond, he worked for Circuity City in various positions and as well as CarMax, which was a spin-off of Circuit City.

Mr. Sherman later accepted a position with Wachovia Bank in Richmond, VA as a Branch Manager and later relocated to Dallas, Texas to help with DE novo process, establishing Wachovia Branches in the Texas market.

While in Dallas, he enrolled and graduated from the University of Dallas with a MBA degree in Corporate Finance.

Since joining the LWSC family in 2013, he has worked as the Institutional Expert on the Urban Water Sanitation Supply Project (UWSSP) which is funded by the African Development Bank and as the Acting Administrative Manager.

Mr. Sherman is married with two kids, and loves reading, traveling to new places and learning new cultures. Favorite saying is, “what’s the next most important thing to you in life; your next breath!”

A typical work day in Administration is like being on roller skates; dealing with vehicles issues, fuel issues, labor issues, employees’ benefits, building and maintenance challenges to say the least. At the end of the day, my job is to ensure that affordable, pipe-borne water is delivered to the citizens of Liberia along with safe sanitation and hygiene.
